Organized by NEWBREED
The NEWBREED Tulsa Summer Championship will take place on August 29, 2026, at the St. John Sports Plex in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This event will feature both gi and no-gi divisions.
NEWBREED returns to Tulsa for its Summer Championship, one of the promotion's signature athlete-safety-first events. Divisions split cleanly by age and experience: Youth Group 1 (4-11) competes without submissions, Youth Group 2 (12-17) steps up to fuller rules, and adults compete in gi by current belt or no-gi by self-rated skill level (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). Gi or no-gi, NEWBREED runs both formats at the same venue so families and gym mates can watch every division without leaving the building. The Tulsa Summer Championship is set for August 29, 2026 at St. John Sports Plex, 101 East 81st St S, Tulsa, OK. It's open to competitors of all ages and skill levels, from four-year-olds trying their first tournament to adult black belts. Sign up online at newbreedbjj.smoothcomp.com; standard registration closes the Tuesday before the event, with same-week late registration through 5pm the day before.
Registration deadline: August 28, 2026
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
NEWBREED publishes its own rulebook with an explicit emphasis on athlete safety, and technique legality scales with age and division level. Read the current NJJF rules before competing — division structures and legal techniques are spelled out there.
Always confirm the official rulebook before you compete — organizations update rules between seasons. See the official event page for current rules.
No results logged yet. Results show up here once competitors log them after the event.
