Organized by American Grappling Federation
The American Grappling Federation brings the 2026 New Orleans Championships to Westwego on December 12. Gi and no-gi divisions cover all ages and skill levels, with rated competitor brackets and certified refs for the greater New Orleans jiu-jitsu community.
AGF's 2026 New Orleans Championships bring gi and no-gi grappling to Westwego, Louisiana, using the American Grappling Federation's own IBJJF-style scoring system and its signature "Coach's Challenge" rule, where a corner can toss a bean bag to contest a referee's call. With more than 900 possible age, weight, and experience division combinations — from 4-year-old Tiny Kids through 50-and-over Executives — AGF events are built to match competitors against genuine peers. The event runs December 12, 2026 in Westwego, LA (New Orleans metro), with rated competitor brackets and certified referees. AGF requires pre-registration and does not offer day-before sign-ups, so register ahead of time through the American Grappling Federation's tournament page or the link on Let's Roll.
Registration deadline: December 7, 2026
The American Grappling Federation (AGF) is a Dallas–Fort Worth-based tournament organizer founded in 2011 by Brandon Quick and Chris Carlino. It runs gi and no-gi tournaments for kids and adults across the US using an IBJJF-style points system, its own weight-class and experience-level divisions, and an AGF Pro elite no-gi division.
The American Grappling Federation (AGF) runs a points-based gi and no-gi tournament circuit, primarily across the southern and central United States, with divisions for kids and adults grouped by age, weight, and experience.
AGF's distinctive rule is its overtime: tied matches go to a sudden-death period where the first competitor to score a point or advantage wins immediately. If overtime also ends level, the referee decides based on who spent longer scoring or attacking submissions. Check the AGF rulebook for current point values and division rules.
Always confirm the official rulebook before you compete — organizations update rules between seasons. See the official event page for current rules.
