Organized by NEWBREED
The NEWBREED Rhode Island Fall Championship will take place on October 31, 2026, at the Longplex Family and Sports Center in Tiverton, RI. This event will include both gi and no-gi divisions, catering to a wide range of grappling competitors.
Newbreed's Rhode Island Fall Championship runs the promotion's full gi and no-gi program, with Youth Group 1 (4-11, no submissions for safety) and Group 2 (12-17) divisions, no-gi adults grouped by experience level, and gi competitors entering by current belt. No external federation membership is required, which keeps the barrier to entry low for first-time competitors. The championship is held October 31, 2026, at the Longplex Family and Sports Center, 300 Industrial Way in Tiverton, RI. Registration closes the Tuesday before the event, with the final hard cutoff the day before at 5pm -- sign up at newbreedbjj.smoothcomp.com, linked on Let's Roll.
Registration deadline: October 30, 2026
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
NEWBREED publishes its own rulebook with an explicit emphasis on athlete safety, and technique legality scales with age and division level. Read the current NJJF rules before competing — division structures and legal techniques are spelled out there.
Always confirm the official rulebook before you compete — organizations update rules between seasons. See the official event page for current rules.
