Event Description
NEWBREED's Chicago Fall Championship brings the promotion's athlete-safety-first format to the Chicago area, with no submissions permitted in the 4-11 Youth Group 1 division and full gi and no-gi brackets for older youth, teens, and adults. No-gi divisions are grouped by experience level, gi divisions by belt rank, and any gi color is allowed on the mat. The championship takes place September 19, 2026 at Oak Lawn Pavilion, 9401 Oak Park Ave, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Registration closes the Tuesday before the event, with a final hard deadline the day before at 5pm — no outside federation membership is required to compete. About NEWBREED
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
Rules
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
