Valko Jiu Jitsu Studio in Chicago is centered around providing accessible Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for both kids and adults. Located on West Montrose Avenue, the studio was established to offer a place where practitioners at any stage—from beginners to experienced competitors—can develop their skills in a focused, disciplined environment. The academy emphasizes physical fitness, mental clarity, and self-defense through structured gi and no-gi classes. Training at Valko includes separate programs for adults and children aged 4 to 12, with the kids’ classes designed to build confidence, discipline, and coordination using age-appropriate techniques. Adults can choose from gi and no-gi classes, as well as open mat sessions that encourage drilling and live rolling in a less formal setting. The schedule supports steady progression while allowing flexibility for drop-in students. Instructors at Valko Jiu Jitsu Studio aim to foster resilience and teamwork alongside technical proficiency. The studio also hosts open mat sessions at its River North location, expanding training opportunities within Chicago. Whether focusing on competition or personal development, the academy maintains a straightforward approach to teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without layering in extraneous martial arts or unrelated fitness programs.
