Artistic Jiu Jitsu School is led by Pedro Dias, a Brazilian black belt under Douglas Rufino known for his success on the IBJJF international circuit, including multiple top finishes at the Pan American and European championships. Pedro’s competitive experience and technical knowledge shape the academy’s approach to teaching, emphasizing discipline, respect, and a deep understanding of the art. Co-founder Laura Carvalho, also a black belt promoted in 2025, contributes to maintaining a family-oriented atmosphere, especially focusing on expanding opportunities for women and youth within the school. The academy’s curriculum centers on gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with structured classes for adults and children. Youth programs start as young as five years old, progressing from foundational skills to intermediate levels, allowing kids to develop confidence and technique in a supportive setting. Adults train through foundational classes that cover essential positions and transitions, fostering steady progression and technical refinement.
