Martial Arts of NC

Martial Arts of NC brings Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Fayetteville under the leadership of Professor Michael Donvito, a sixth-degree black belt with decades on the mat. Supported by a team that includes black belts Jason and seasoned coaches Marcus and Adonis, the academy is shaped by instructors with deep roots in the art and a commitment to hands-on teaching. Classes at Martial Arts of NC are structured for both adults and children, with the adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program focusing on gi fundamentals several evenings a week. For younger students, instruction starts as early as age four, with separate classes for ages 4–6 and 7–15, ensuring age-appropriate learning and attention. The academy also offers a homeschool BJJ program for children, making mid-day training accessible to families with flexible schedules. Beyond traditional gi classes, the schedule includes submission grappling for both children and adults, giving students the chance to develop no-gi skills alongside their core training. An adaptive program focused on emotional well-being is available by appointment, reflecting the academy’s willingness to meet students where they are. Open mat sessions round out the week, providing time for members to roll, drill, and connect outside of formal class structure.
