Carolina Prime Performance in Fayetteville, NC, is built around a 10,000-square-foot facility designed with serious athletes in mind. The gym is led by Jiu Jitsu Head Coach Austin Avera, a first-degree black belt under Michael Sergi, IBJJF certified, and a professional Jiu Jitsu competitor and MMA fighter. Coach Austin brings seventeen years of martial arts experience and a deep background as a Special Operations and Modern Army Combatives Instructor. MMA at the academy is overseen by Dave Marshall, a Cesar Gracie black belt with over two decades of martial arts training and a decade of professional MMA experience, including fights in Strikeforce. Both coaches are military veterans and bring their knowledge of combat sports and tactical training to the mats. Jiu Jitsu at Carolina Prime Performance is offered for adults and teens, with classes structured to suit both groups. The academy emphasizes gi training, with dedicated Adult Jiu Jitsu sessions and a Teen MMA/Jiu Jitsu program. Open mat times allow for additional training, rolling, and skill development.
