Life Jiu Jitsu Reno

Life Jiu Jitsu Reno is led by Professor Frederico Jorge Da Eira, an IBJJF-certified black belt who grew up training in Rio de Janeiro alongside the Gracie family. With decades on the mats and a long list of national and international titles in both gi and no-gi, Professor Da Eira brings direct experience from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s birthplace to his academy in Reno. His teaching is rooted in authentic technique, discipline, and mentorship, with a strong emphasis on personal growth as well as competition. The academy offers structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai programs for both adults and kids. Adult students can train in gi and no-gi classes throughout the week, as well as join open mat sessions for extra practice. Kids’ classes are divided into age groups (4–8 and 9–15) and include both gi and no-gi options, plus Muay Thai for striking fundamentals. There is also a dedicated kids’ competition team, giving younger students a path to test their skills in tournaments under experienced guidance. Life Jiu Jitsu Reno welcomes new and returning students at its Air Center Plaza location on South McCarran Boulevard. Private one-on-one training is available for students who want more focused instruction. The school is wheelchair accessible, and drop-ins are welcome for most classes and open mats. Professor Da Eira works to ensure every student—whether they’re looking to compete or just learn the art—gets the benefit of real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tradition and a straightforward, professional approach to training.
