Claim this gymKrav Maga Force in Chicago was founded by a retired law enforcement officer who spent over 30 years on the streets and saw firsthand the realities of violent crime. The academy was built out of a conviction that ordinary people need practical tools and the right mindset to protect themselves in unpredictable situations. The founder’s mission is to help students break out of their shells, take personal safety seriously, and develop the inner strength necessary to respond effectively if violence finds them. The instructors at Krav Maga Force bring together more than 50 years of law enforcement experience and over 80 years of martial arts training. As an affiliate of Krav Maga Alliance, the academy blends techniques from multiple martial arts to address real-world self-defense scenarios. Classes are designed to instill both physical skills and the mental readiness needed to survive an attack, emphasizing that size and strength are less important than preparation and intent. Training at Krav Maga Force covers a range of programs for adults, including open mat sessions and specialized courses under the VirtTac Ops banner, such as Carry & Conceal and Steel Club, led by instructor Eddie Chiu. Drop-ins are welcome for these sessions, and the curriculum is aimed at equipping students with the confidence and ability to defend themselves at home, on the street, or anywhere danger may arise. The academy’s approach reflects its founder’s belief that personal safety is a responsibility no one else can shoulder for you.
