Event Description
NEWBREED's Nashville Fall Championship runs on the promotion's athlete-safety-first rulebook, which keeps submissions out of the youngest divisions -- competitors 11 and under compete in a no-submission format -- while older youth and adults compete in standard gi and no-gi brackets. Divisions split into Youth Group 1 (4-11) and Youth Group 2 (12-17) for kids, skill-level brackets for no-gi adults, and current-belt divisions for gi, with any gi color allowed and no outside federation membership required. The championship takes place Saturday, October 3, 2026, at MTSU Campus Recreation in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, just outside Nashville. Registration closes the Tuesday before the event, with a final hard cutoff the day before at 5pm -- sign up through newbreedbjj.smoothcomp.com.

About NEWBREED
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
Rules
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
