Event Description
NEWBREED brings its athlete-safety-first tournament format to Louisville for this fall championship, with gi and no-gi divisions for every age and belt. Youth compete in two safety-focused brackets, Group 1 (ages 4-11, no submissions) and Group 2 (ages 12-17), while no-gi adults are sorted by skill level rather than belt rank. The championship takes place Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Louisville, KY. Registration closes the Tuesday before the event with a final cutoff the day before at 5pm, and no outside federation membership is required to compete. About Newbreed
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
Rules
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
