Event Description
NEWBREED's Jacksonville-area stop runs the federation's athlete-safety-first rulebook with gi and no-gi divisions side by side. Youth split into Group 1 (ages 4-11, no submissions permitted) and Group 2 (ages 12-17), no-gi adults compete by skill level rather than belt, and gi competitors are grouped by current rank with any gi color allowed. The championship is held Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the University of North Florida Field House, Building 26, 1 UNF Dr, in Jacksonville, FL. Registration closes the Tuesday before the event, with a final deadline the day before at 5pm, and no outside federation membership is required to compete. About NEWBREED
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
Rules
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
