Event Description
NEWBREED's Coral Springs Fall Championship runs under the organization's athlete-safety-first rules, which strip submissions from the youngest division (Youth Group 1, ages 4-11) while still giving Youth Group 2 (12-17), no-gi skill-level brackets, and gi belt divisions full competitive brackets. No-gi competitors are grouped by experience — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced — while gi competitors compete by current belt rank, and any gi color is permitted. The championship takes place September 12, 2026 at Coral Springs Gymnasium in Coral Springs, Florida, with both gi and no-gi divisions available. Registration closes the Tuesday before the event, with a final hard deadline the day before at 5pm, and NEWBREED does not require any outside federation membership to compete. About NEWBREED
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
Rules
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
