Event Description
NEWBREED's Baton Rouge Fall Championship runs on the promotion's safety-first rulebook, with the 11-and-under youth division submission-free while older youth and adults compete in full gi and no-gi brackets. Divisions split into Youth Group 1 (4-11) and Youth Group 2 (12-17), no-gi adult brackets by skill level, and current-belt gi divisions that accept any gi color. The championship takes place Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Team Sportsplex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Registration closes the Tuesday before the event, with a final hard cutoff the day before at 5pm; register through newbreedbjj.smoothcomp.com.

About NEWBREED
NEWBREED (the NEWBREED Jiu-Jitsu Federation) is a US tournament circuit whose federation was established in 2012. It runs 100+ tournaments a year nationwide with kids-through-adult gi and no-gi divisions and digital bracket management, culminating in The Ultimate Grappler (TUG), its elite no-gi absolute finale.
Rules
NEWBREED runs a long-established tournament circuit (including its Ultimate Challenge events) with gi and no-gi divisions for kids and adults, grouped by age, weight, and experience level. It's a high-volume regional circuit that many competitors use for regular local competition.
