Organized by Good Fight
Macon hosts the Good Fight Georgia Sub-Only Open on November 7, 2026. Matches run submission-only with no points scoring, giving all belts a chance to test their finishing skills.
Good Fight's GA Sub-Only Open runs the promotion's trademark the-mat-decides format -- no points, no advantages, no referee decisions, just submissions or a mat-based ruling. Match times scale by belt (6 minutes for white, 8 for blue, 10 for purple through black), and every competitor is guaranteed at least two matches. The tournament takes place November 7, 2026, in Macon, GA, open to kids, teens, and adults across all belts, gi and no-gi. Registration is handled through Good Fight's Smoothcomp event page, linked on Let's Roll.
Registration deadline: November 5, 2026
The Good Fight is a submission-only BJJ tournament circuit started in 2008, running gi and no-gi divisions for kids, teens, and adults of all belt levels under a straightforward sub-only ruleset — no points, no advantages — with a two-match-per-division guarantee. Events run mainly across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic US, culminating annually in a Sub-Only Worlds.
Good Fight tournaments are submission-only: no points, no advantages, and no referee decisions. Matches are won by submission, and matches that end without one are resolved through the event's overtime procedures rather than a judge's call — their motto is "the mat decides."
Events offer gi and no-gi divisions for kids, teens, and adults across belt levels. One notable safety rule: any competitor rendered unconscious during a match is withdrawn from competition for the rest of the day. Check the current Good Fight rulebook for division-specific rules, including the separate novice and kids rule sets.
Always confirm the official rulebook before you compete — organizations update rules between seasons. See the official event page for current rules.
