Organized by Good Fight Tournament
Good Fight Tournament brings its AL Fall Open to Hoover on September 26, 2026. The event runs gi and no-gi divisions across all belts and weight classes for grapplers throughout Alabama.
The AL Fall Open follows Good Fight Tournament's submission-only format -- no points, no advantages, no referee decisions, just the mat deciding. Matches run by belt-based time limits (6 minutes for white belts, 8 for blue, 10 for purple, brown, and black), and every division is guaranteed at least two matches. Held Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Hoover, AL, the event covers kids, teens, and adults across all belts, in both gi and no-gi. For safety, any competitor knocked unconscious is withdrawn from the rest of the day's competition. Register through the link on this page.
Registration deadline: September 24, 2026
Good Fight tournaments are submission-only: no points, no advantages, and no referee decisions. Matches are won by submission, and matches that end without one are resolved through the event's overtime procedures rather than a judge's call — their motto is "the mat decides."
Events offer gi and no-gi divisions for kids, teens, and adults across belt levels. One notable safety rule: any competitor rendered unconscious during a match is withdrawn from competition for the rest of the day. Check the current Good Fight rulebook for division-specific rules, including the separate novice and kids rule sets.
Always confirm the official rulebook before you compete — organizations update rules between seasons. See the official event page for current rules.
