The 2026 AGF Foley Open will take place on October 10 at the Foley Event Center in Foley, Alabama. This tournament will include both gi and no-gi divisions, accommodating a range of grappling competitors.
The American Grappling Federation brings its championship series to the Alabama Gulf Coast for the Foley Open, run on AGF's own IBJJF-style scoring plus its signature Coach's Challenge, letting a corner toss a bean bag onto the mat to contest a referee's call. AGF's division matrix covers more than 900 age, weight, and experience combinations, from Tiny Kids at age 4 up through Executives 50 and older, with an AGF Pro bracket for the most advanced competitors. The 2026 AGF Foley Open takes place Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Foley Event Center in Foley, Alabama, with gi and no-gi divisions on the schedule. AGF requires pre-registration in advance with no day-of sign-ups, through americangrapplingfederation.com.
Registration deadline: October 5, 2026
The American Grappling Federation (AGF) is a Dallas–Fort Worth-based tournament organizer founded in 2011 by Brandon Quick and Chris Carlino. It runs gi and no-gi tournaments for kids and adults across the US using an IBJJF-style points system, its own weight-class and experience-level divisions, and an AGF Pro elite no-gi division.
The American Grappling Federation (AGF) runs a points-based gi and no-gi tournament circuit, primarily across the southern and central United States, with divisions for kids and adults grouped by age, weight, and experience.
AGF's distinctive rule is its overtime: tied matches go to a sudden-death period where the first competitor to score a point or advantage wins immediately. If overtime also ends level, the referee decides based on who spent longer scoring or attacking submissions. Check the AGF rulebook for current point values and division rules.
Always confirm the official rulebook before you compete — organizations update rules between seasons. See the official event page for current rules.
