Sarasota BJJ / Six Blades Jiu Jitsu (BJJ-SRQ) is led by Sensei Jeremy Harris, a 4th degree black belt with over three decades on the mats and a teaching legacy in Sarasota stretching back more than ten years. Sensei Harris brings a competitive pedigree as a multiple-time IBJJF Pan Am Champion and Masters World silver medalist, and since 2002 has taught under the Six Blades and Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu banners. He is joined by black belt instructor Daniel Barbacena, both drawing on the curriculum and values of the global Six Blades association founded by Xande Ribeiro. The academy offers a structured program for adults and children, emphasizing a curriculum-based approach to gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Kids’ classes are scheduled multiple times weekly, including dedicated no-gi instruction, while adults have the option of both gi and no-gi classes in the evenings. The school welcomes all ages and provides opportunities for families to train together, reflecting a focus on long-term development and practical self-defense. Regular visits and seminars from world champions such as Xande Ribeiro and Victor Hugo add depth to the instruction.
