Indiana BJJ Academy has been a fixture in Greenwood since 2000, making it the longest-running Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts school in the greater Indianapolis area. From its early days, the academy set out to offer more than just martial arts instruction, emphasizing athleticism, health, discipline, and personal growth. Over the years, Indiana BJJ Academy has produced successful competitors in BJJ, MMA, and submission grappling, shaping its reputation through experience and results rather than words alone. The academy’s schedule is built around a structured progression for adults and children. Adult students can train in gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, BJJ fundamentals, no-gi competition training, kickboxing, and judo, with morning, midday, and evening sessions to fit different schedules. Dedicated competition classes and regular open mat times support those preparing for tournaments. For kids, Indiana BJJ Academy offers age-specific BJJ classes for ages 4–6 and 7–12, plus a competition training group for young athletes who want to test their skills further. Indiana BJJ Academy operates out of a 5,500-square-foot facility with over 2,200 square feet of mat space, a fitness area, changing rooms, showers, and a pro shop with gear and training essentials. Cleanliness is a priority, with a single-piece mat tarp system and strict cleaning routines to keep the environment safe. Visitors are welcome to drop in for classes, and the academy’s open-door policy makes it accessible for newcomers and traveling grapplers alike.
