Claim this gymGracie BJJ Savannah is known for its consistent, structured approach to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, rooted in the Pedro Sauer lineage. The academy offers instruction seven days a week at its East 70th Street location, with a schedule that balances fundamental training for newcomers and more advanced sessions for experienced students. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu remains the core focus, taught exclusively in the gi, and the school maintains a traditional outlook while making room for modern training formats. Adults at Gracie BJJ Savannah can start with fundamentals classes led by a professor, building a strong technical base before progressing to advanced gi sessions. Morning Jiu-Jitsu classes offer flexibility for early risers, and open mats are available for students looking to refine their skills or roll outside of structured class times. Drop-ins are welcome, making it easy for visitors or traveling practitioners to participate. Kids’ programs are also a key part of the academy, with an advanced class available by invitation for young students who demonstrate commitment and skill. The focus on age-appropriate instruction ensures that both adults and children can train safely and effectively within their peer groups. Gracie BJJ Savannah’s teaching style reflects the influence of the Pedro Sauer lineage—emphasizing leverage, technique, and practical self-defense in every class.
