BETA Academy | Brazilian BJJ, Muay Thai & MMA

BETA Academy | Brazilian BJJ, Muay Thai & MMA has established itself in Washington, DC as a place where students can train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu alongside striking and mixed martial arts. The Jiu-Jitsu program is led by Coach Daniel, who teaches both the fundamentals and advanced classes in the gi for adults. The academy’s approach builds a strong technical foundation before progressing students to more advanced work, giving everyone the chance to develop their skills step by step. Classes at BETA Academy are structured to support steady improvement. Beginners start with the fundamentals class, which focuses on the essential techniques and movements that form the base of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As students gain experience, they can move into the advanced class to tackle more complex positions and strategies. Both gi classes are taught by Daniel, ensuring consistency and a clear path for progression. In addition to structured classes, BETA Academy hosts open mat sessions for adults, where members can roll, drill, and experiment with techniques at their own pace. Drop-ins are welcome for these sessions as well as for regular classes, making it easy for visitors or those new to the area to train. The academy’s schedule also includes programs in Muay Thai and MMA, reflecting its broader focus on martial arts beyond just BJJ.
