Barncat Jiu Jitsu

Barncat Jiu Jitsu is guided by a team of black belts including Conor Waffle, Paul Salinas, Seta Reupenny, Mikey Morales, Adrian Berumen, and Tony Sandoval. Located on North Black Canyon Highway in Phoenix, the school focuses exclusively on gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training across all age groups. The instructors bring a range of experience and degrees in their belts, contributing to a varied but gi-centered curriculum. Classes at Barncat cover a broad spectrum of training needs. For kids, there are dedicated gi classes under the direction of Conor Waffle and Paul Salinas, designed to build fundamentals and confidence. Adults train in mixed-level classes, specific leg lock sessions led by Mikey Morales, and women’s gi classes taught by Seta Reupenny. Open mat sessions provide additional time for students to drill and spar beyond structured lessons. The gym maintains wheelchair accessibility and welcomes drop-in students to most classes, reflecting a straightforward approach to training. While the academy’s schedule emphasizes traditional gi BJJ, it offers a focused environment where students can develop their skills thoughtfully under multiple black belt instructors.
