Organized by Submission Challenge
October 3, 2026 brings Submission Challenge to Kansas City, a submission-only grappling tournament open to all belts. The format rewards finishing ability, drawing competitors from across Missouri and the Midwest.
Submission Challenge brings its sub-only format to Kansas City, running on ISOF Standard rules with EBI-style overtime if a match doesn't end in a tap. Every bracket is double-elimination with a third-place match built in, so a single loss doesn't end a competitor's day. Divisions span Youth (ages 4-12) and Teens (13-17) through adult brackets from Novice to Black belt, plus Masters, Directors, and Executive age brackets for competitors 30 and older, with gi, no-gi, and Absolute options for adults. The Kansas City event runs Saturday, October 3, 2026. Weigh-ins happen the morning of at 8am, and competitors can adjust their registered division up until the Thursday before the event, after which changes lock in. Register through the tournament's Smoothcomp page at submissionchallenge.smoothcomp.com.
Registration deadline: September 30, 2026
