White Label BJJ

White Label BJJ in West Monroe is a family-founded academy with deep roots in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense training. Owner and head instructor Clay Moses, Sr., a black belt, began the journey nearly two decades ago when his son’s interest in wrestling led the family to BJJ instead. Over time, the academy grew into a place focused on practical self-defense, culminating in the creation of SHESAFE Training by Dominique Moses McKane, a brown belt who used her skills to defuse a violent situation in 2023. The team also includes instructors with brown and blue belts, plus Coach Joey leading the striking program. The academy’s curriculum balances traditional gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with specialized classes for women and children. Students can join co-ed adult classes, women’s and kids’ self-defense and BJJ sessions, as well as competition-focused training. Wrestling and grappling classes complement the BJJ instruction, and striking disciplines like kickboxing are offered under Coach Joey’s guidance. Conditioning classes for both adults and kids support overall fitness and performance on the mats. White Label BJJ maintains an open mat schedule allowing for sparring and extra practice, and welcomes drop-ins. The facility is wheelchair accessible, reflecting a practical approach to training access. The emphasis remains on empowering individuals through skill development and confidence-building, supported by a team invested in the community’s safety and resilience.
