Claim this gymTitan Jiu Jitsu opened its doors in 2022 in Northern Wilmington, Delaware, founded by Stephen Eisner, a black belt under Stephen Plyler. Eisner’s lineage traces back to Grand Masters Helio and Relson Gracie, as well as Professors Phil and Ricardo Migliarese, reflecting a traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu heritage. The academy was established to provide a place where submission grappling could be taught safely and effectively, with an emphasis on technique and respectful sparring. The gym also supports law enforcement and first responders through the WE DEFY program, integrating practical self-preparedness into its mission. Students at Titan Jiu Jitsu train in both gi and no-gi formats, with classes structured to guide newcomers through fundamentals before progressing to advanced techniques. Children’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is offered as a separate program, ensuring age-appropriate instruction. Beyond grappling, the academy includes kickboxing classes to round out striking skills, giving students a broader martial arts experience. Open mat sessions are available for additional live rolling and positional drilling, allowing practitioners to refine their skills beyond formal classes. Located in Branmar Plaza near major highways, Titan welcomes drop-in students from Wilmington and neighboring areas like Chadds Ford and Media. The facility is wheelchair accessible and includes fitness equipment such as an infrared sauna. This setup allows grapplers to explore both the grip-intensive nature of gi training and the speed and transitions of no-gi without compromising on either style. Under Eisner’s guidance, the academy maintains a family atmosphere focused on steady progress and technical development.
