302 Brazilian BJJ is led by a team affiliated with Team Balance, a lineage developed by Phil and Ricardo Migliarese who trained closely with the Gracie family. Established in 2007, the academy operates two locations in Delaware, including its main facility at 3904 Evelyn Drive in Wilmington. The school follows the traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu approach, emphasizing the self-defense roots of the art while fostering a structured and systematic teaching environment. Students at 302 BJJ train primarily in gi classes grounded in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques, with an emphasis on fundamentals and progression through ranks under the guidance of instructors who include 20 black belts among the membership. The academy also supports a kids program at both Wilmington and Middletown locations, introducing younger practitioners to the discipline and values of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from an early age. Beyond BJJ, the Middletown location offers classes in Muay Thai, MMA, and yoga, providing cross-training options that complement grappling skills.
