Progresso Jiu Jitsu Plano

Progresso Jiu Jitsu Plano opened its doors in October 2020 as the original home of the Progresso name, building its curriculum around high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction for both adults and kids. Founder Alexander Trans, a black belt and IBJJF European World Champion, leads a team of instructors who bring significant competition experience to the mats. The academy’s approach supports both hobbyists and competitors, emphasizing strong technical fundamentals while also preparing those interested in testing themselves at tournaments. Alongside its core Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, Progresso offers Muay Thai under the same roof, making it possible for students to cross-train in striking and grappling without joining multiple gyms. Classes are available for different age groups, and the academy highlights a particularly strong female team. Students regularly compete at local and major championship events, reflecting the competitive pedigree of the coaching staff without requiring competition as a focus for every member. The Plano facility spans approximately 6,500 square feet, featuring a large mat area for jiu jitsu, a dedicated Muay Thai space, changing rooms, and showers. These practical amenities support regular training schedules for individuals and families alike. The academy welcomes students from Plano, Richardson, and across North Dallas who want structured, technical instruction in both BJJ and Muay Thai, whether their goals are fitness, skill development, or competition.
