Claim this gymNorthern Karate is the Willowdale location of a GTA organization founded in 1972 and the Willowdale name anchors the gym on Steeles Avenue East in North York. The school lists programs for Kids Karate and Adult Karate alongside Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; that mix shapes how coaches structure classes here — karate fundamentals feed the warm-ups and discipline of younger groups while BJJ sessions focus on positional drilling and partner work appropriate to each age bracket. Class offerings at the Willowdale site include regular kids and adult tracks plus seasonal camps and a Black Belt Tradition program, and the facility schedules trial classes for newcomers. Practically, the school presents itself as a longstanding community club where cleanliness and routine are part of the daily operation; those details appear in how the site lays out class types and family-oriented programming. The address is 1515 Steeles Ave E, North York, ON M2M 3Y7, and the school provides a contact phone number for local inquiries. Program variety — karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu across age groups — is the most concrete sign of the gym’s day-to-day focus: regular technical class time, age-appropriate progression and seasonal camps that extend training beyond weekly lessons.
