Next Level Krav Maga & Gracie Humaita BJJ in Gilbert, AZ, is guided by Grand Master Joseph Edmondson, a lifelong martial artist with more than 50 years of experience across multiple disciplines. Grand Master Edmondson began his journey in Tae Kwon Do at the age of four, earning an 8th dan black belt and collecting several world and national championships in full-contact and point fighting before turning his focus to self-defense. He holds a 4th degree black belt in Krav Maga under Itay Gil and is a brown belt in Gracie Humaita Jiu-Jitsu, training under Professor Nick Stefan and Professor Quan Phu. The coaching team also includes Professor Quan Phu, a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over two decades of teaching experience, and Grandmaster George Bell, who brings his expertise as a 2nd degree BJJ black belt. The academy has been a fixture in the East Valley since 1995, evolving to offer a blend of traditional and modern martial arts. Students find structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programs in both gi and no-gi formats, with classes for adults and a dedicated Gracie Kids program.
