Lucas Lepri Jiu Jitsu Academy

Lucas Lepri Jiu Jitsu Academy in Charlotte is led by Lucas Lepri, a nine-time IBJJF black belt world champion and Hall of Fame athlete. After years teaching at Alliance headquarters in both New York and Atlanta, Lucas established his own academy to share the high-level technique and training philosophy that brought him to the top of the sport. Every new student at the academy starts with orientation classes before joining the regular schedule, ensuring a strong foundation in both the technical and cultural aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Classes at the Charlotte academy cover traditional gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with a dedicated no-gi program that helps students apply their skills in submission grappling. The academy also runs a kids martial arts program focused on personal growth, discipline, and confidence—guided by instructors with proven competition and coaching experience. Professor Andre Gois, a black belt under Lepri and a champion at major no-gi events, teaches both adults and children, bringing years of teaching and competition at the international level. Training runs throughout the week, with classes offered mornings, midday, and evenings from Monday through Saturday. The academy welcomes visitors for open mat sessions and offers private lessons for students who want focused instruction. With programs for all ages and a direct connection to one of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu’s most accomplished competitors, the academy is a destination for anyone serious about learning and progressing in BJJ in Charlotte.
