800-2 S Frontenac St, Aurora, IL
Levels Jiu Jitsu in Aurora was built from the ground up by a group of teammates determined to keep their jiu-jitsu family together after their previous academy closed its doors. Founders Andy, Esam, and Tory put in 42 days of renovation and planning to create a space where their training partners could continue to grow without interruption. That hands-on approach carries through to the day-to-day experience—students walk into a gym shaped by people who know firsthand what it means to build and protect a team. The instruction at Levels is led by a group of experienced coaches selected for both their depth of knowledge and their dedication to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Classes follow a practical progression, starting with Adult Fundamentals Gi and Beginner No-Gi for those new to the sport, and moving into all-levels sessions in both gi and no-gi formats. Kids’ classes focus on building fundamentals, confidence, and leadership, with an emphasis on positive mentorship and teamwork. The schedule is designed to serve both competitors and those training for fitness or self-defense, and drop-ins are welcome. Levels offers a wheelchair-accessible facility and a family-oriented environment, reflecting the founders’ original goal of keeping people training together. Whether a student is stepping onto the mats for the first time or returning after years away, they will find a place built on shared effort and a genuine commitment to each other’s progress.
