Legacy Martial Arts BJJ & Kickboxing in Edmond is led by Professor Justin Rader, a 2nd degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with nearly three decades of martial arts experience. Professor Rader began wrestling and tae kwon do at age four, started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at twelve, and went on to a decorated career that includes two No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt World Titles and a bronze medal at the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championships. He has spent over thirteen years teaching BJJ, including eight years working with kids, and personally leads all youth, teen, and adult jiu-jitsu classes at the academy. The jiu-jitsu program at Legacy is structured for a wide range of ages and backgrounds. Kids and teens benefit from Professor Rader’s practical wrestling and jiu-jitsu background, with a focus on discipline, self-defense, and building confidence. Adult classes emphasize both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, drawing on Rader’s competitive experience to develop technical skill, fitness, and functional grappling. The academy also offers adult kickboxing alongside its BJJ curriculum. Legacy Martial Arts places a strong emphasis on using martial arts to train and inspire students to become leaders who contribute positively to their communities. The facility is wheelchair accessible, and the schedule is arranged to make classes accessible for families and individuals at different stages of life. Professor Rader’s hands-on approach and deep roots in both wrestling and jiu-jitsu shape the training environment, offering Edmond a school where technical instruction and personal growth go hand in hand.
