Kimura BJJ Boca Raton

Kimura Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Boca Raton is a family-run academy founded and led by Master Jean Kleber de Freitas, a sixth-degree black belt with more than 30 years in jiu jitsu. Jean began training in 1991, started teaching in the mid-1990s and earned his black belt in 2001 before helping establish Kimura in Europe. He brought the team to the United States in 2003 and later opened the Boca Raton academy after moving to Florida with his family in 2016. The coaching team also includes third-degree black belt Diego Faroni, who began training at Kimura in 2003 and now teaches full time. The school’s own history says the team won extensively across the Northeast during the 2000s and early 2010s, while Jean’s background also includes submission wrestling, judo, Muay Thai, Vale Tudo and MMA. This is not a franchise using a familiar name; the founder who built the team in Europe and the U.S. remains directly involved in teaching, supported by instructors who developed inside the same academy over many years.
