HumanArtwork Jiu Jitsu was founded by Professor Henry, a longtime Agoura Hills local who began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey at age 30. Earning his black belt under Fabio Passos and representing the Alliance lineage—with the creative influence of Cobrinha—Professor Henry built the academy to give his own community a place to grow through BJJ. HumanArtwork is shaped by the ideas of precision, movement, discipline, and personal expression, reflecting both the technical roots of Alliance and the founder’s belief in jiu-jitsu as a tool for resilience and purpose. Adult students at HumanArtwork train primarily in gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, with classes structured for all levels. Fundamentals classes focus on building a strong technical foundation, while all-levels sessions and open mats allow students to challenge themselves and refine their style. The approach emphasizes mutual respect, steady progression, and the development of both physical and mental skills. Drop-ins are welcome for adults, making it accessible for visitors or those exploring the art. The kids’ program is designed to help young students become confident, active, and self-disciplined. Multiple kids’ classes are offered each week, led by instructors with years of experience coaching youth. Safety is a priority—staff are background checked through the state’s Livescan system—and every class is structured to be engaging and fun while teaching respect, discipline, and focus. The academy is wheelchair accessible and aims to be a positive part of the Agoura Hills community, offering a safe space for students of all ages to become stronger on and off the mats.
