Gracie Barra Agoura Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Self Defense in Agoura Hills is led by Professor Romulo Barral, a 10-time world champion, ADCC champion, and BJJ Hall of Fame member. Barral, a fifth-degree black belt and founder of Gracie Barra Northridge, brings a legacy of technical excellence and global recognition to the academy. Alongside him, Professor Jaeson Bianchi, a second-degree black belt and veteran youth coach, and Professor Zane Spruce, known for his approachable and clear teaching style, form a team dedicated to both the art and discipline of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Since opening its doors in 2022, the academy has become a place for students of all ages to develop through structured Gracie Barra programs. Every class follows the proven Gracie Barra curriculum, blending traditional gi instruction with opportunities for no-gi training. The adult program centers on All Levels classes, where beginners and advanced students train side by side, focusing on fundamentals, advanced techniques, and self-defense. No-gi sessions are also offered, emphasizing agility and practical application for both self-defense and competition. The kids program, overseen by Professor Jaeson Bianchi, is designed for ages 4 to 15 and focuses on building confidence, discipline, and resilience. With over a decade of experience leading youth classes, Bianchi ensures that children not only learn effective Jiu-Jitsu but also develop focus, teamwork, and respect. Classes are held in a modern, clean, and safe facility, and the school welcomes families from Agoura Hills and neighboring communities. The academy is wheelchair accessible and encourages new students to visit and experience its structured approach firsthand.
