Brandon’s background spans boxing, Muay Thai, wrestling, judo, and MMA competition, where he earned state welterweight rankings and regional titles. Alongside him, instructors like Hailey Davis, a brown belt focused on women’s kickboxing and jiu-jitsu, and Dave Mansel, a fourth-degree black belt promoted by Royler Gracie, contribute to a diverse coaching team. The gym also includes specialists in wrestling, judo, and youth MMA, reflecting a broad martial arts foundation. Students at Guerilla MMA train in both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu across multiple age groups, with classes for children starting as young as five years old. Adult classes cover gi and no-gi formats, with separate women-only sessions for both jiu-jitsu and cardio kickboxing. The schedule supports regular open mat times, encouraging extra practice and sparring. Beyond grappling, the academy offers striking and MMA classes, including boxing and mixed martial arts striking for adults and youth. Wrestling practice is also part of the weekly lineup, rounding out the training options. The gym’s programs emphasize skill development through consistent, varied training rather than focusing solely on competition. The coaching staff’s combined experience in multiple disciplines creates an environment where students can build a solid martial arts base. Guerilla MMA operates out of a single facility on North 1st Street, providing a place for both kids and adults to train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts throughout the week.
