Gracie Elite Central Coast

Gracie Elite Central Coast was established in 2009 by Professor Tiago Ferreira to bring authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the Central Coast. Tiago began his BJJ journey in 1992 at Gracie Florianopolis under Rilion Gracie and Crolim Gracie, later training with Rickson Gracie in California. He earned his black belt from Crolim Gracie in 2004 and arrived in Australia in 2007, where he initially taught for Bruno Panno at Gracie Sydney before founding his own academy in Erina. With more than 25 years’ experience as both competitor and coach, Tiago leads the school with a direct connection to the original Gracie family lineage. Classes at Gracie Elite Central Coast cover a broad range of ages and experience levels. There are dedicated programs for adults, children and women, with a clear focus on practical self-defence and strong fundamentals. The academy offers both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and students can also take part in kickboxing, sports performance, and yoga classes. Private lessons are available for those seeking individual attention. The structured grading syllabus guides students through their progression, and regular seminars provide opportunities to learn from guest instructors and deepen technical understanding. Competition is optional but well supported, with many students representing the academy at grappling tournaments and mixed martial arts events. Gracie Elite Central Coast maintains a relaxed, ego-free training environment, encouraging steady improvement and fitness for all who train. The academy is located next to Gem Gymnastics Centre in Erina and has become a fixture for those looking to learn BJJ and related martial arts on the Central Coast.
