Founded and led by Professor Thaisio da Costa Feliz, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, the school is built around a core team that includes Thaisio’s son Igor (black belt), Amanda Do Nascimento (black belt), Iris Costa (brown belt), and several other experienced coaches. The academy’s philosophy is rooted in respect, discipline, and personal development, with a strong emphasis on listening to each student’s goals and supporting their journey, whether they are beginners or experienced practitioners. Classes at Future School of Jiu Jitsu cover both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults and kids, with programs designed to serve a wide range of ages and backgrounds. The schedule runs throughout the week at two locations—Becker Road and St. James Drive—offering daytime and evening classes to accommodate busy families and working adults. Special attention is given to children’s development, and the team is known for their patience and ability to work with kids of all needs, including those with special requirements. Beyond structured classes, the academy offers open mat sessions for adults, welcoming visitors and drop-ins.
