Free World Jiu Jitsu

Free World Jiu Jitsu was founded in Pflugerville, Texas, to offer high-quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in a space where practitioners of all backgrounds could grow and improve. The academy is led by co-founders Jordan Gomez and Tracey Goodell, both seasoned black belts with decades of combined experience competing internationally and teaching. Jordan, a 3rd degree black belt with 20 years on the mats, brings a calm and positive teaching style focused on the mental and physical benefits of jiu jitsu. Tracey, also a 3rd degree black belt and Hawai`i’s first female black belt, has competed at the highest levels and now channels that expertise into developing students of all ages. Training at Free World follows a clear progression that balances fundamentals with advanced techniques, emphasizing both gi and no-gi formats. The academy offers programs for kids starting with Littles and Minions classes, moving into a dedicated Kids Jiu Jitsu program, as well as adult classes in gi and no-gi. Open mat sessions provide additional time for students to drill and spar beyond structured class times. Instruction focuses on practical application, conditioning, and building confidence on the mats. Located at 1202 FM 685 S, the gym maintains a schedule that accommodates early morning, midday, and evening training six days a week. Accessibility is also a priority, with facilities designed to be wheelchair accessible. Free World Jiu Jitsu is committed to providing consistent coaching and a supportive environment where students can develop their skills steadily over time.
