The academy’s programs are built to help students of all ages develop confidence, respect, and lasting leadership skills—values that are woven into every class, from the youngest Little Ninjas to adult competitors. Classes are structured to give students a strong foundation in both gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Young children can start in the Little Ninjas BJJ program for ages 3–6, focusing on fundamentals and core values. Older kids join Youth BJJ (ages 7+), where the emphasis shifts to practical self-defense and preparing for life’s challenges. For adults, the schedule includes both gi and no-gi fundamentals, advanced no-gi, and dedicated competition classes in each format. Open mat sessions offer a chance to roll and refine skills, while private lessons are available for more focused instruction. The academy also supports homeschool families with a BJJ class led by Devin Stevens. Beyond Jiu-Jitsu, the academy offers Muay Thai and kickboxing, and adult members receive 24/7 access to the facility—including an outdoor MMA cage, climbing rope, TRX rings, and a full weight room. Drop-ins are welcome in most classes, and the gym is wheelchair accessible. Davidson County BJJ & Section 8 MMA is structured for steady growth and practical training, with programs that reflect the needs of Lexington’s families, athletes, and everyday practitioners.
