Crispim BJJ & MMA Danville was founded to share Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and martial arts as a lifestyle, not just a sport. The academy is part of the Barra Brothers group, led by Professor Alexander Crispim, a respected black belt with deep roots in the art. Drawing on the traditions of loyalty, respect, and team spirit, Crispim’s approach centers on the idea that the academy is an extended family—one where members grow stronger together on and off the mats. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is at the core of the Danville location, with structured classes for men, women, and children. The program emphasizes fundamentals, fitness, and self-defense, while also preparing dedicated students for competition. The kids’ martial arts program blends BJJ and Muay Thai, supporting both physical development and character growth through a focus on discipline and confidence. Adult students find a mix of gi and no-gi training, alongside Muay Thai classes, allowing for a well-developed skill set in both grappling and striking. In addition to its daily classes, the academy hosts seasonal belt promotions, in-house tournaments for young students, and events that bring families together.
