Claim this gymConnecticut Submission Grappling in Bridgeport is a space dedicated to the practice and development of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling arts. While specific details about its founding or head instructors are not documented, the academy’s focus centers on providing consistent mat time for grapplers in the area. The emphasis is on practical training rather than a broad class schedule. The academy primarily offers open mat sessions for adult students, welcoming practitioners at all levels to come together and drill, spar, or refine techniques in a flexible setting. This format supports individual training goals and encourages peer learning without a structured class format or belt-specific divisions. Located at 114 River Street, Connecticut Submission Grappling operates as a straightforward training venue without additional amenities or specialized programs like kids’ classes, women’s-only sessions, or striking arts. Its open mat approach allows grapplers to drop in and engage with others in the local BJJ community on their own terms.
