Dynamic Martial Arts

Dynamic Martial Arts has been a fixture in Wichita Falls since 2015, founded by Roger Perez—a black belt under Carlos Machado and a 20-year U.S. Air Force veteran. Roger started grappling as a middle schooler and carried his passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu around the world, training wherever he was stationed. When he returned home and found no academy that matched the standards he valued, he opened his own, bringing the Machado lineage and its traditional approach to North Texas. Roger remains on the mat every week, teaching with the same discipline-first, character-before-belt philosophy he learned from his teachers. The academy is the only Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu affiliate in Wichita Falls, offering a full BJJ program in both gi and no-gi for teens and adults five nights a week. Classes are structured by age and experience, with Cubs Jiu-Jitsu starting at age 4, kids’ classes for ages 7 to 12, and a complete teen/adult curriculum from 13 and up. Kids can also train in kickboxing, and striking classes continue for teens and adults three evenings a week. Competition practice runs on Saturdays when events are on the calendar, and private lessons are available by appointment on Sundays. The facility at 2005 Kemp Boulevard features dedicated mat space for both grappling and striking. Every class at Dynamic Martial Arts is built on the principles of respect, effort, and honest progression. Belt promotions are earned, not given, and students are pushed to their potential in a structured, supportive room. The academy serves a wide range of families, including many from the Sheppard Air Force Base community, and welcomes students of all backgrounds and starting points. Over 300 families have trained here since the doors opened, with many students traveling in from surrounding areas for the caliber of instruction and the standards upheld on the mat.
