Atos Jiu Jitsu Northwest in Eugene is led by Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa, a multi-time IBJJF World Champion and ADCC medalist known for his high-level competition pedigree. Originally from Roraima, Brazil, Barbosa built his reputation at Atos Headquarters under André Galvão before bringing his experience and technical approach to Oregon. Alongside his brother Andre Barbosa, Lucas now shares his expertise with students of all backgrounds, creating a direct connection to the highest levels of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition. The academy’s programs reflect this mix of elite experience and accessibility. Training is available in both gi and no-gi formats, with a class structure that serves beginners, advanced students, and those preparing for competition. Youth Gi classes are offered for ages 7 to 14, and there is a dedicated Kids Striking program. Women’s Open Mat and all-ages open mats are regular parts of the schedule, and drop-ins are welcome.
