SECOND FLOOR, 1221 Flagman Way STE B1, Santa Fe, NM
10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Santa Fe is led by Ruben Rivera, a 2nd degree black belt under Eddie Bravo and Tait Fletcher, who has been dedicated to the art for over 15 years. Ruben began his martial arts journey in Santa Fe in 2008, initially training MMA before dedicating himself fully to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He earned his black belt in 2015 and, alongside his wife and fellow black belt Jennifer Rivera, brings a wealth of experience to the mats. Jennifer started her training in Los Angeles under Eddie Bravo, competing across a range of major tournaments, and now helps guide students in Santa Fe with a focus on both technical development and practical self-defense. The academy follows the 10th Planet system, specializing in no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults and children. Classes are organized by age and experience, including dedicated kids’ programs that emphasize structure, discipline, and confidence. Women’s classes are held every Monday, providing a space for focused instruction and growth. The schedule also features Bang Muay Thai kickboxing and open mat sessions, with drop-ins welcome. Instruction is rooted in modern grappling techniques, with an emphasis on conceptual understanding and application for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Located just off Cerrillos Road and Baca Street, the facility is wheelchair accessible and equipped for a full-body workout every session. Students benefit from direct access to coaches with deep competitive backgrounds, and the gym maintains a practical, welcoming approach without mandatory uniform purchases. The focus remains on learning, improvement, and supporting each individual’s journey in no-gi jiu-jitsu.
