10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Orange Park

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Orange Park is led by Coach Storm Shannon, a 10th Planet black belt under Coach Bryan Brown. Storm began his martial arts journey as a child in Goju-Ryu Karate, discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008, and committed to the 10th Planet no-gi system in 2009. His instruction is shaped by a unique background in Sports Medicine and Chiropractic, which brings an injury-conscious approach to every class. Alongside Storm, the coaching team includes competitors and specialists in both grappling and striking, such as blue belt competitor Donnell Langford, Taekwondo black belt and high school wrestler Raven Shannon, and Muay Thai Kru Big Will, a 25-year striking veteran certified in Thai boxing and USA Boxing. The academy focuses on no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Eddie Bravo system, with classes for both adults and kids. Students can expect detailed instruction in fundamentals, advanced techniques, and competition preparation, along with dedicated early-bird sessions and open mats. The schedule is built to serve families and working adults, running six days a week with morning, evening, and weekend options. During evening hours, kids and adults often train side by side on separate mats, making it easy for families to participate together. In addition to Jiu-Jitsu, 10th Planet Orange Park offers a full Muay Thai program for both kids and adults. The kids’ martial arts curriculum blends age-appropriate instruction in BJJ and Muay Thai, emphasizing confidence and anti-bullying skills. The academy welcomes students as young as five and accepts Step Up For Students scholarships, aiming to make quality martial arts training accessible to the wider Orange Park and Jacksonville area. Drop-ins are welcome, and the facility is wheelchair accessible.
