10th Planet Jiu Jitsu - Murrieta

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu - Murrieta has been bringing Eddie Bravo’s innovative no-gi system to Southwest Riverside County since 2017. The academy is led by owner and head instructor Andrew Murillo, a 10th Planet black belt with over a decade of competition experience under Bravo’s direct lineage. Alongside Murillo, the teaching team includes Johnny Ho, a second-degree black belt known for technical precision, and Zach Schultz, who specializes in modern leg lock techniques. Together, they offer students a deep well of experience and a first-principles approach to grappling. Training at 10th Planet Murrieta centers on the complete 10th Planet no-gi curriculum, from rubber guard and twister to advanced submission chains. Adults can start with fundamentals and progress through all-levels classes, advanced warm-ups, and dedicated competition training. The academy also offers specialized classes such as leg locks and wrestling, reflecting the modern, competition-driven evolution of submission grappling. Muay Thai kickboxing is available for both adults and kids, taught by Jeff Anderson, who brings over a decade of striking and grappling experience. The youth program is structured to support every stage of development, with classes for toddlers (ages 2–4, with parent participation), littles, juniors, and teens. Kids build confidence and discipline in a safe, coach-supervised environment, with anti-bullying principles woven into the curriculum. Drop-ins are welcome, and the facility is wheelchair accessible. Open mat sessions and Q&A classes round out a schedule designed for steady progress, whether students aim to compete or simply want to challenge themselves on the mats.
