10th Planet Jiu Jitsu El Paso

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu El Paso has been part of the East Side El Paso martial arts scene since 2009, founded as an official affiliate of Eddie Bravo’s 10th Planet system. The academy is now led by Cristobal “El Mosquito” Chavez, a 10th Planet black belt under Master Victor Davila. Chavez brings a deep competitive background to the mats, with a résumé that includes multiple IBJJF podium finishes and professional MMA victories in King of the Cage and Combate Americas. Training at 10th Planet El Paso is centered on no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, following the distinctive approach developed by Eddie Bravo. Chavez’s classes draw on his experience in both grappling and MMA, with sessions designed for everyone from dedicated competitors to students looking to build practical self-defense skills. The academy also offers Muay Thai, MMA, and kickboxing, making it a well-equipped training center for those interested in multiple disciplines. The 3,200-square-foot facility is wheelchair accessible and features an open mat format for adults, with drop-ins welcome. Equipment for striking and grappling is available on site, and the schedule is structured to support both regular members and visiting practitioners. 10th Planet El Paso continues to serve as a hub for no-gi jiu-jitsu in the region, guided by a coach who has tested his skills at the highest levels of both grappling and mixed martial arts.
