The strongest BJJ teams
in the world right now
No single organization owns the whole picture. We combine official IBJJF (gi) and ADCC (no-gi) results into one composite index — weighing gi, no-gi, champions, roster depth, efficiency and momentum. How this works →

How the Power Index is calculated
Each team is scored 0–100 on six pillars, normalized against the strongest team in each category, then blended into a single composite. Sources are official, public season rankings — facts, not opinion.
IBJJF affiliation season points — the gi competitiveness signal.
ADCC team points rolled up across every member gym.
How many athletes the brand has near the top of elite divisions.
Total distinctly-ranked competitors across gi and no-gi.
Points per ranked athlete — quality over sheer headcount (Moneyball).
Movement vs the snapshot closest to 90 days ago. 50 = holding; higher = climbing.
Gi data: IBJJF academy season rankings, recency-weighted (this season 1.0, last 0.6, two back 0.3). No-gi data: ADCC Open / team rankings. Momentum and the Rising/Falling rails compare against the snapshot closest to 90 days back, once at least 14 days of history exist. Read the full methodology →
